Ham and Banana Rolls? Man!

unexpectedly delicious

So good that we’re having them for Christmas morning breakfast this year! Even the Professor liked them. Visually, they aren’t quite as attractive as you’d hope (gooey banana and gooey cheese look a little off-putting) but they are very tasty and easy to prepare. I plan to go to the deli counter for the thinly sliced ham next time so I can get longer slices that wrap all the way around the bananas.

It will be fun for the g-kids to make their own – they LOVE yellow mustard and preparing them is easy and rewarding! I didn’t try making the cheese sauce with non-dairy products but I don’t see why that wouldn’t work for our g-kid with a dairy allergy. The mustard adds a zing to the rolls but doesn’t overpower.

Try it! Like the Professor, I suspect you’ll like it too!
