Now They're Coming For Freelancers?
What do you bet we're called freelancers? And what about those of us who pitch (and contort) for a (already meager) living?
OK, I usually wait before wading in to make sure I have the whole story, but come on. Are you kidding me? Tell me it ain’t so, Joe.
At a time when magazines and newspapers are shuttering all over the place, all the displaced employees are going to learn that they can no longer use their skills to feed their families UNLESS they work for an employer? What employer would that be?
And what about us? Newsletter publishers that don’t work for an employer? I’d love to hear how we might get lumped in…
If I’m being reactionary, someone correct me. If not, we’d all better call our reps in DC and tell them not just no, but hell no.
Just when I think that lawmakers can't get any more ill-informed, misguided, or worse, mean, this comes along.
