Oh my that sounds like so no fun. Hope you get better soon. I had terrible brain fog and only after it lifted did I realize how debilitating it was.

I hear you! I do hope you see a doc. I know you don’t want to hear that but...

As a 3.5 year long hauler who had terrible cognitive issues in year one, I can tell you the brain will heal. I had horrible word retrieval issues and I often used the wrong verb tenses. The dizziness and racing heart are part of this too. I’m sorry to say this all indeed sounds like long COVID. Do as much as you can now to calm your nervous system - rest, meditate, etc. The harder you try to push through, the worse it all gets. It’s taken me 3.5 years to learn that lesson.

You don’t need to rush to a doctor, unless you want to rule out other things. Most don’t know anything about long COVID and there are very few effective off-label treatments (that only work for some people). But calming your nervous system is a must. I really hope you feel better soon - if I can help at all, let me know.

Crap, Amy. I'm so sorry this happened to you too. I actually experienced terrible anxiety (racing heart describes it) the night before that meeting I put on. I was so afraid I'd forgotten to do something important. Knowing it's not me helps. The dizziness was freaky.

Ugh. Life without salt is no life at all. We all need more salt and fewer numbers. You have all my sympathy, Teri.

I don't think I've had Covid. I've never tested positive for it at least. But I've had the most HORRENDOUS brain fog these past couple of years. For me, it's tech (which used to be my safe space) and the ability to hold an idea in my mind for longer than a day without writing down ev-er-y-thing. I'm desperate to get my online course out into the world but I get so far into the process, put it down for a day, then cannot for the life of me remember what I've created so far.

And yeah. I've not seen a doctor either. Our beloved NHS is disintegrating. A friend tried to phone the GP's surgery for an appointment last week and was number 183 in the phone queue.

Sending you and your brain a loving (non-infectious) hug. xx

I hear you on the salt and numbers, Miranda! And from what I've been reading (and hear me, I'm so pro-vax), you can end up with this thing from what they call vaccine-injury even if you've never had Covid. Check out the video on The Tonic that I just put in notes.

Scary. More research needs to be done on this. We've got to have vaccines. Just not with the unintended consequences!
