Former Idaho Senator Shawn Keough's Talking To Teri

And talking pretty freely...

She's been called a "once in a generation leader" and truly, she is.

Shawn Keough started working at the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce years ago and has been at a day job for the Associated Logging Contractors for close to a quarter century. She was so effective that her constituents sent her to the Idaho Senate for 11 2-year terms.

When she retired as District 1's state senator in 2018, she might have just retreated to spend time with her family and live a quiet, idyllic life on Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho. She didn't. When Governor Brad Little asked her to fill a seat on the State Board of Education she stepped back up.

Shawn Keough has a passion for public service. Still.

Join me as we talk candidly about how she got to Idaho years ago, her time in the Legislature, and the state of party politics in Idaho these days. And she's got some pretty good advice for anyone thinking about following their passion.

Carpe diem!
